Lately I noticed a trend on the streets and on blogs. It seems to be like we are all in a war. No, not a war for oil or nuclear weapons, I’m talking about camouflage prints and colors in our wardrobes. From studs to camouflage prints, a touch of army-realness is a Fashionista’s best friend. So here are my tips to rock this trend.

To make this look softer, try to rock the Army-look with an army jacket. For example, pairing the jacket up with feminine items like a skirt, statement necklace or heels, you not only instantly feminize the look, you also create different lenght to break the hardness of the jacket down. To not totally lose your shapes, try to narrow the waits down with a belt like Lindsey (pose-blog.com) did on the left.

Also try to use different materials in your outfit to make it more interesting. Good materials to work with are denims, sheer blouses, knits and (fake) leather like Helena(snapme.org) did on the right.
For men I say layer, layer layers. The best way to rock this trend is to use (just like the girls) different materials with an Army Jacket on top. Also you could try to soften the look by adding some classic simple pieces like a denim shirt or a white T-shirt just like Puck (oneofpoints.com) did on the left. Try to pair it up with destroyed jeans to complete the look.
Don’t own an army jacket, no problem you can simply make your outfit army-style proof by simply wearing an army shirt, like Christian (fashiongentrix.com) did on the right. You could easily wear a shirt like that with a studded denim jacket or Vest. Try to keep a fine balance between the materials.
I hope this gave you enough inspiration to rock this trend. Don’t make War make Fashion!
